v1-plastic — a manufacturing trade portal rebuilt for speed and mobile

The problem

A long-running industry portal had grown organically for years: thousands of pages, inconsistent templates, slow mobile performance and no clear route from reading to enquiring. Most of its traffic came from phones.

What we did

• Audited the page inventory and rebuilt the content architecture around what buyers search for
• Designed a mobile-first template system that works for long-form technical writing and for product listings
• Rewrote the listing and detail templates for fast rendering and clean metadata
• Rebuilt the enquiry path — one clear action per page, with WhatsApp and form options
• Fixed the technical SEO layer: canonical URLs, structured data, sitemaps and internal linking

Result

• A site that is fast and readable on a phone, which is where the traffic is
• Product and article pages that both search engines and AI answer engines can parse
• A design system the client can extend for new categories without a designer

In manufacturing, the website is usually the first meeting. It should not feel like a warehouse.
